I love to talk to people...

If I had all the time in the world, I'd answer every email I receive. Unfortunately, too many people have taken advantage of what little time I have because they were unwilling to respect my personal requests, so I'm afraid I've got to crack down on everybody now.

Messages I won't answer include:

  1. Requests for ANY images.
  2. Requests for styling advice or instructions. (Including asking which color or cut of wig I recommend for your character.)
  3. Rude or non-sensical emails. (Remember that you're writing to a business. Keep the l33+ 5p34k to a minimum.)
  4. Critiques on completed wigs that were not made for you! (The only person whose opinion matters to me about any particular wig is the person I made it for.)
  5. Wig related emails sent to my personal address.
  6. Anything other than appearance requests sent to my appearances@pettingzoowigs.com address.

Messages I will answer include:

  1. Quote Requests made by following the instructions in the "How to Order/Request a Quote" section.
  2. Email questions about current, paid orders. (Remember, if you didn't pay, you didn't order.)
  3. Apprentice applications.
  4. Message board posts that do not fall into any of the above categories. (For instance, if you are a doll re-rooter, and are looking to purchase surplus fiber, or if you want to know where I got my mannequin, or what type of camera I use...)

Before you contact me, please follow these instructions:
(Emails from people who obviously didn't follow the instructions will be deleted without reply.)

If you'd like a quote, or would like to place an order for an open month...
Go to the How to Order/Request a Quote page and follow the directions. You should also thoroughly check the Frequently Requested Characters lists to see if I have already given a quote for that character before.

If you don't want a quote, but have a more general question...
Go to the Frequently Asked Questions page and read what other people have already asked. You should also read the Petting Zoo Policies Page to make sure the question you have isn't already answered there. If your question is not answered in either or those places, please post it in the Petting Zoo Wigs Forum. I check that very regularly, and if I see a question there that doesn't doesn't violate the "no-answer" rule, I will happily answer it. ^_^

If you have a question about the Character Wig Auction System...
Please post it in one of these two forums:

Wig Auction: General Discussion
Wig Auction: Technical Questions

If you haven't already done so, please read the Character Wigs Auction Info Page.

If you want to check on my availability...
Look at the chart at the top of the updates page. I do not, and will not have a waiting list. Do not email me asking if I can inform you when I next have an opening. You are wasting both of our time by asking. ;_;

If I'm booked, and you want to know if there's someone else who can make your wig or accessory...
I have posted a list of all the other wig and accessories makers that I know of, that I think have a comparable level of quality for either wigs or accessories. I will not post links to sites that I would not personally order from.

If you are looking for styling tips or advice...
Try the Petting Zoo Wigs Forum for input from myself and other cosplayers. Do not email me asking for styling tips. I'm more than happy to talk about my techniques in person, but I am too slow of a typist to explain these things via email.

If you want to know where I get my starting wigs or hair extensions...
Take a look at the links to the left. I have links to my materials suppliers, as well as a comprehensive color chart that directly compares the colors of Amphigory and Dr. Locks for accurate matching.

If you want to style your own wig, and need supplies or help...
I have posted a few tutorials to the left, and have supplies available for beginning and intermediate stylists in the Wig Supplies store. Also, read the Petting Zoo Wigs Forum for advice from other stylists.

I'm sorry if seems like I'm being really strict here, but I answer all your emails and messageboard posts by myself, and I need more time to concentrate on getting wigs done. -__-'
