Wig Ordering > Why
"Why did you change from the old way of taking orders?"

To put it very simply: Because there are over 180,000 of you, and only one of me.

I know that this website makes it look like I'm a big company, but that's just because I worked for a high-end graphic design firm for a while, and know how to make a professional appearance. I occasionally have someone who comes in two hours a week to help, but for the most part, I'm a one woman show.

I spend about 200 hours per month answering quote requests and email, so that leaves me with very limited time to make wigs. Since there's no easy or fair way for me to decide who gets to make it onto the roster, and who doesn't, I've put it in the hands of the cosplayers. If you want me to make your wig, then you can bid for a few hours of the time I have available. I'll usually have enough time for at least 5 wigs, but if someone wants one that is particularly hard, they might end up taking most of the time for themselves.

I'm not here to get rich, I'm here to provide a service. If no one thinks this is reasonable, then no one will bid, and I'll know that no one needs this service anymore. ^_^

If you understand the 'why', go to the How!
