Yes, I'm a little anal-retentive...
I have brown eyes. Shiva has bright, BRIGHT blue eyes. So I needed to get contact lenses. (The eye doctor asked, "You have perfect vision, why are you here?") Anyhow, I ordered the lenses online, since they wanted to charge a lot more at the doctor's office for the exact same brand.
Matching the Hairline
Shiva's hair is pulled back into a headband before it starts up with the massive dreads. Once again, I'm a brunette, not a bluenette.
I bleached and dyed my hair to match the wig as close as I could. The back was put up into a very tight upside-down french braid, so that the combs inside the wig would have something firm to grab on to. I planned to cut my hair off the day after the convention, so the blue hair didn't last very long.
Careful boys, she scratches.
Shiva has claws on both her fingers and toes. I had the finger sets done professionally, (I've never been able to do my own right hand.) and I did the toe claws myself. I had them intentionally leave the right middle finger off so I could put my contacts in the day of the con. (I just glued the nail on afterwards.)
